The number of goats we bring depends on the size and nature of the job. A typical herd consists of 7-20 goats, but we adjust the number based on the amount of vegetation and the size of the area. 

Goats love a wide variety of plants, including many invasive species. However, they do not eat woody stalks, so some of these will be left behind once the job is done. While they can clear out the bulk of the overgrown vegetation, you may need to follow up with additional measures to remove any remaining woody stalks. 

Yes! We use temporary electric fencing to create a safe and secure boundary around the grazing area. This fencing ensures the goats stay in the designated space and helps protect them from predators. 

In addition to the electric fencing, we bring along a trained livestock guardian dog to protect the goats from predators. The dog stays with the herd at all times, ensuring their safety while they work.

Yes, you may pet the goats, but we ask that you keep household pets and young children at a safe distance. Please also be aware that the electric fencing is live and can deliver a mild shock if touched, so take caution around the fenced area.

Goat droppings act as natural fertilizer, enriching the soil without spreading seeds from the plants they eat. Goats have a unique digestive system that destroys most seeds, so you won’t have to worry about invasive plants coming back. 

No, we take care of everything! We bring the goats, fencing, and the guardian dog. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy watching the goats do their job.
